Space Kidz announces slew of projects

To mark their anniversary, the organisation announced various upcoming projects including the moon mission.

Space Kidz India, an organisation which provides experiential learning for students in the fields of science and technology, celebrated its first anniversary of Kalamsat.

Kalamsat is the world’s smallest and lightest satellite launched by NASA last year. The 3.8 cm, 3D printed satellite, also made its entry into various world record books including the Asia Book of Records, URF Book of Records, India Book of Records and Assist Book of Records.

To mark their anniversary, the organisation announced various upcoming projects including the moon mission. “In 2019 we will be starting our design and research for the moon mission. We will be landing the first lightest moon rover and lander on moon,” said Rifath Sharook, who created the satellite.

“We are looking for support of each individual of this country who can contribute even 1 rupee and help us make this mission a grand success. And support from the government to provide us with an equipped science laboratory where we could work on our other inventions,” said Srimathy Kesan, founder and CEO of Space Kidz India.

Their other projects include Skilabz - an online learning and communication platform; Educryp and a blockchain based cloud platform to store and verify academic certificates and credentials. They are also looking to make an organic health drink.
