Dominic Thiem fought back from a set down to defeat Roger Federer 3-6 6-3 7-5 in the final of the Indian Wells Masters, winning a Masters 1000 title for the first time in his career.

In the women’s section, 18-year-old Canadian Bianca Andreescu stunned Angelique Kerber 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to become the first wild card entrant to win at the event.
