U.S. dollar firms up against rupee

The U.S. dollar firmed up against the rupee at Rs. 45.62/63 per dollar but the Pound Sterling turned lower at Rs. 72.53/55 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) here on Friday.
