The U.S. dollar ended sharply cheaper against the rupee at Rs. 44.17/18 per dollar and the Pound Sterling also finished lower at Rs. 71.97/99 per pound at the lose of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) here on Wednesday.
