Hyundai introduces automatic transmission version of Santa Fe

Hyundai Motor India launched its luxurious SUV, Santa Fe, with automatic transmission and additional features in New Delhi on Monday.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Monday launched the automatic transmission (AT) version of its premium SUV Santa Fe. Priced at Rs.24.36-lakh, the four-wheel drive Santa Fe is now available with six-speed automatic transmission for smooth and stress free driving, while its additional features include push-button start and smart key ensure convenience with one-touch operation.

The luxury SUV comes with 2.2 litre diesel engine, delivering 197 PS power and a mileage of 11.72 km a litre. “The Santa Fe launched last year has been extremely well received…the new offering with automatic transmission further improves our value proposition,” said HMIL Managing Director and CEO H.W. Park. Since its launch in October 2010, HMIL has so far sold over 1,100 units of Santa Fe.

Awarded five-star safety rating by New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), Santa Fe comes fully loaded with various active and passive safety features such as electronic stability program (EPS) and anti-lock braking system (ABS) – with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) to ensure greater driving stability. The six standard airbags and active head rests greatly enhance passenger protection and safety.
