The board of directors of Sun TV Network, at its meeting on Friday, decided to induct K. Vijaykumar into the board and appoint him as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
In a notification to the stock exchanges, the company said the board had decided to induct R. Ravivenkatesh as an independent director and elevate C. Praveen, Senior Vice-President, as Chief Operating Officer of the company. Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Kalanithi will continue as Executive Chairman and Executive Director of the company, respectively. The changes would be effective from April 20, the notification said.
In July last, the company had informed the stock exchanges that Mr. Vijaykumar, COO, had been elevated to the post of CEO with effect from July 12.
