ThinkBig launches online B-school

Chennai-based technology enabled learning company ThinkBig Edu Ventures (India) Pvt. Ltd. on Monday launched its fully collaborative online B-School, myBskool.com.

Addressing presspersons here CEO K. Swaminathan said myBskool.com would offer world-class management education by leveraging the power of information and communication technology.

The CEO said the company had invested close to $1 million so far in building a state-of-the-art studio facility and cloud-based virtual and collaborative learning platform. The platform was fully functional and hosted close to 6,000 plus audio lessons, covering 16-18 core subjects, and over 2,500 plus high quality video lectures.

Mr. Swaminathan said myBskool.com had entered into an exclusive partnership with IMT-Ghaziabad to offer a one-year executive MBA programme for professionals with minimum two years work experience. This programme would be delivered in exclusive alliances with corporates. The first batch was expected to commence from January 16.

Venture funding

The CEO said ThinkBig had received $1.5 million funding from U.S.-based Serial NRI Entrepreneur and Angel investor K. B. Chandrasekhar in the first round. The company was in talks with venture capital funds and private equity funds for another $2.5 million, which would be materialised shortly. The funds would be used for future expansion, he said.

Mr. Swaminathan said the company was also planning to set up three more studios in Chennai.
