TCS to set up Rs. 550-crore campus at Indore

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Monday, announced that that it would build an integrated campus in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for IT and BPO with an initial investment of Rs. 550 crore.

The total development area of the campus is expected to be around 1.5 million square feet. Once all applicable permissions are received, the construction of Phase I is expected to be completed by March 2016.

100-acre property

TCS said the Indore campus would be located on a 100-acre property allotted by the state government.

On completion, it would provide direct job opportunities to 10,000 associates in phase I, a company statement added.

“Indore has the potential to become another big hub for knowledge-based industries such as IT and BPO. Our investment will help catalyse further development of the talent ecosystem as well as help upgrade civic infrastructure in the area,” S. Mahalingam, CFO & Executive Director, TCS, said in a statement.
