Graphite India said that it was exploring all available options, including legal, in respect of the closure order served on its Bangalore plant by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
In a post on the bourses, the company said that the KSPCB had ordered closure of its industrial operations at its Bangalore plant till further orders due to non-compliance with provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1987.
The closure order has been complied with but the company, being aggrieved by the alleged order, was exploring options, it said.

The graphite electrode manufacturer, controlled by the K. K. Bangur group, has three units in India, and one in Germany. Its two other domestic units are in West Bengal and Maharashtra.
