PLG Power Limited, the flagship energy and power division of PLG Group, launched India’s biggest solar power generation plant of 40 MW at Patan in Gujarat. This is one of the largest solar power projects in the country.
In a statement issued here, the Rs. 3500 crore PLG Group, is also one of the leading manufacturers of crystalline PV modules in India with their manufacturing plant at Sinnar, Nasik. The company has already signed the power purchase agreement (PPA) for the generation of 40 MW solar power with the Gujarat Government.
PLG has got the distinction of becoming the very first company to come up with 40 MW of solar power generation at a stretch in India. It has the equity participation of 20 MW with Zamil of Saudi Arabia and 20 MW with Ashburg of Britain.

Speaking about the project, company chairman, Punit Goyal said power generation from the project would be four phases of 10 MW each. The first phase of 10 MW is likely to be connected shortly for the power generation. And all 4 phases will be completed by the end of next financial year. PLG Power is one of the biggest EPC contractors for setting up grid connected solar power plants in the country.
