Kumud Srinivasan to head Intel India

Global chip-maker Intel has appointed Kumud Srinivasan as President of its India operations.

Ms. Srinivasan succeeds Praveen Vishakantaiah, who is relocating to the U.S. as General Manager of Client Solutions and Technology group in the PC Client Group for Intel, Intel said in a statement on Mondoay.

Ms. Srinivasan has been with Intel for over 25 years, and has held several business and information systems positions within Intel’s manufacturing and information technology organisations, it added. In her previous role, Ms. Srinivasan was Vice-President and General Manager of IT for Silicon Software and Services, and also led Intel’s internal full-service consulting practice.

“Today, Intel India is a major design site for Intel and is one of the fastest-growing emerging markets powering our growth...I am excited that my new job is taking me back to my cultural roots,” Ms. Srinivasan said.
