The Reliance ADA group on Friday denied the Central Bureau of Investigation's September 29 statement in the Supreme Court that the three officials arrested in the 2G spectrum allocation case might turn approver and investigators might get to know the real beneficiaries.
A statement issued by senior advocate Hariharan, on behalf of the charge-sheeted Reliance executives said: “Neither the Reliance ADA Group nor any of its promoters/executives have committed any offence and there is no question of any of the charge-sheeted executives becoming approvers.”
On the CBI's submission that the three officials had retracted the statements they had earlier made to the CBI, it said: “No change in the statements or the stand taken by the 3 charge-sheeted employees at any stage, either before the investigating agency or the Courts. Any statement to the contrary by the CBI before the Supreme Court is baseless.”

“No company or individual of the Reliance ADA Group had any beneficial interest in the 2G licence issued in January 2008. The 9.9 per cent equity interest in Swan Telecom held by Reliance Telecom was sold months before the grant of licence to Swan Telecom.”
Regretting the trial by media that was making a mockery of the country's judicial process, the statement said: “The Reliance ADA Group and the 3 executives have already established in the trial court that they had no involvement in the alleged conspiracy for allotment of 2G licences.”
