Excellence Enablers Private Ltd. (EEPL) is organising a training programme here on March 4 for both executive, non-executives and prospective directors, to improve their performance at the board level.
The one-day programme — Developing Discerning Directors — will enable the participants to travel beyond the prescriptive framework of governance to understand issues that will have a significant bearing on their improved performance at the board level.
To ensure that the course to be a productive and participatory one, EEPL has limited the number of participants to 30 in each programme on first-come-first-served basis.

Following the successful completion of the training programmes in Mumbai and Bengaluru, EEPL will conduct the next round of training programme here on Wednesday.
According to the organisers, the programme will blend theory and practical board room experience through interactive session, panel discussion and group exercises.
“There are a number of training courses that tend to focus mainly on compliance and accounting aspects, ignoring important attributes such as behavioural aspects, teamwork and skills, to mention a few. To bridge the gap, an interactive session is being planned,” a company spokesman said.

“This time, the course will include behavioural and cultural dimensions of Indian boards, board room dynamics, responsibilities of directors – a legal perspective, understanding the financial statements, board committees and expectations and addressing external perceptions,” he said.
