Aiming to support “new generation young” IT companies, the National Association of Software and Services Companies on Tuesday organised a conclave in New Delhi which focused on providing such players insights on the altering user environment and new platforms in the industry.

"The landscape of the IT industry is changing rapidly and many start-ups and emerging companies are finding themselves ill-equipped to address the changing needs of their customers," Nasscom President Som Mittal told reporters.

The EmergeOut Conclave 2013, now in its sixth year, will showcase the evolution of the Indian IT Industry and its future roadmap. It is aimed at involving emerging IT companies in India, to participate at a level playing field with international players.

“The innovation is happening in smaller companies. These are new generation companies who are trying to solve the problems of today...We have to create an ecosystem where customers can find them and as Nasscom our role is to support these young companies,” Mr. Mittal added.

By creating an ecosystem, the IT body will work towards removing hurdles such as early stage funding for emerging companies.

The participating companies shared their insights on working in the domain, focusing on new technologies, client needs and processes.
