Murthy, Sikka and ‘big money’

N.R. Narayana Murthy, exiting executive chairman, appeared to be in his elements as he was handing over the reins of Infosys to new CEO-designate Vishal Sikka.

In a lighter vein, he said Mr. Sikka's appointment was “excellent” as his name meant “big money”. “I didn't know what Sikka meant. Then I heard that his last name means money, so together his name means big money... it is what we need for Infosys!” joked Mr. Murthy. “He is something special...he is a Ph.D. in computer science which is the highest recognition as an intellectual,” he said.
