Lemon Electronics to invest ₹100 cr. in plant

Lemon Electronics on Friday announced a ₹100-crore investment to set up a manufacturing facility for tempered glass in Haryana. The plant, to be operational by September 2018, would have a capacity to produce more than two crore units of tempered glass a month.

The company said it had secured legal rights from the ‘Thailand Glass Company’ for the procurement of raw materials and distribution in India. The proposed plant is expected to generate employment for about 3000 people.

Lemon Glass India, the new sub-division created for tempered glass, aims to be among the top players in the mobile accessories segments in next three years, the company said.
