IT major Infosys saw another high-profile exit with the resignation of its chief compliance officer Nithyanandan Radhakrishnan. The former executive council member is set to fly solo as an independent consultant on international legal matters.
An Infosys spokesperson told this correspondent that the company has decided and is happy to be his “first significant client” as he takes up this role. The company, in a filing to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, said that associate vice-president Parvatheesam Kanchinadham would take from Mr. Radhakrishnan , and additionally, would be ombudsman to the company’s revamped whistleblower policy.
The appointment, the company spokesperson said, was effective April 15.

Mr. Kanchinadam is part of the new executive council that was announced in March, months after the top decision making body was disbanded. According to the company website, he is now “primarily responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory compliance of Infosys.”
“He is the focal point for communication with the regulatory authorities, the Board, senior management, and shareholders,” it adds. The appointment as an ombudsman to the whistleblower policy is significant as the policy had been in the news after in 2011 an employee in the U.S., Jay Palmer, had, in a lawsuit, alleged harassment for exposing visa wrong doings by the company.
