Hind Copper inks JV with Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation

City-based Hindustan Copper Ltd. and Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. have teamed up to float a joint venture company.

The new venture - Chhattisgarh Copper Ltd. – will have its registered office in Bhilai.

Hindustan Copper will hold 74% stake in the joint venture. The rest will be held by Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.

The joint venture will be engaged in exploration, mining and beneficiation of copper and its associated minerals in Chhattisgarh.

The number of directors nominated by Hindustan Copper and CMDC in the new venture will be in the ratio of 3:2.

The city-based company has already operations in Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
