GM to increase prices from January

General Motors India on Thursday said it will increase prices across all its models by up to Rs. 10,000 from January 2014.

“We plan to increase prices by up to Rs. 10,000 across all our models from January 2014 to partially offset input cost pressure,” P Balendran, Vice President, General Motors India, said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) too had announced an increase in prices of its products across all models by up to Rs. 20,000 from January. Other car makers who have recently announced price hikes include Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Honda.
