Fiat drives in Linea Classic

Fiat, on Wednesday, made a foray into the entry-level sedan segment with the launch of a classic version of its Linea sedan. The car is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

The Linea Classic will come with two engine options -1.4 litre (Fire) petrol and 1.3 litre multi-jet diesel engine. The diesel version will be available in two variants - Classic priced at Rs. 6.95 lakh and Line Classic+ at Rs. 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

“Fiat India has exciting plans for the festive season. To celebrate and share the festivities with our customers, we have launched the Linea Classic which will give them the luxuries of a sedan at the price range of a hatch-back,” Fiat Chrysler President and Managing Director Nagesh Basavanhalli told reporters here on Wednesday.

The company is also looking at expanding its dealership network to 100 by the end of this year from 79 now. “India is a strategic market for us. We are optimistic about our prospects for growth in the Indian car market, which is rapidly becoming one of the major markets in the world,” he said.
