Audi launches S6 in India priced at Rs. 85.99 lakh

The luxury sports car, which can do a 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.6 seconds, will be available at all Audi dealerships across India immediately.

German luxury carmaker Audi on Friday launched its S6 sedan in India with a price tag of Rs. 85.99 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).

The luxury sports car, which can do a 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.6 seconds, will be available at all Audi dealerships across India immediately.

"We are now happy to add the Audi S6 to our portfolio after the launch of the new Audi RS 5 Coupe earlier this month. With these launches, I am confident of consolidating our leadership position even further," Audi India Head Michael Perschke said.

The company's other models in the high performance car segment includes Audi R8, Audi R8 Spyder, Audi S4 and Audi TT Coupe.

The Audi S6, a sporty version of the A6 sedan which is already present in India, is powered by a 4 litre, V-8 twin turbo engine and gives out an output of 420 hp. It has luxury features like four zone air conditioner, Audi Parking Plus Aid, electrically adjustable sport seats with memory functions for the driver and sun blinds.

The company is aiming for a 20 per cent growth in sales in India this year to 10,500-10,800 units from 9,003 units in 2012, driven by the new product launches.

“Our strategy of building a strong brand, high quality network and exciting product portfolio is paying its dividend in India…We remain on track to achieve our annual target of 20 growth fro 2013,”

Audi India plans to expand its network to 34 dealerships by the end of 2013 from its existing 26 centres.
