Schneider Electric India, a specialist in energy management and automation, has drawn up plans to increase its presence in Tier-II and Tier-III cities to strengthen its market position, said a top official.“Next to France, India is a big market for us with skills and good manufacturing practices. India is a key focus country for the group. We have 28 factories employing 11,000 people with a presence in 110 cities,” said Schneider Electric India Vice-President – National Sales S. Nagarajan. Over the next three years, Schneider plans to expand to 250 cities, in addition to investments in manufacturing capacity, R&D engineering and export functions.
