The Planning Commission on Wednesday launched a dedicated website to elicit suggestions and views of the people for formulating the XII Plan (2012-2017).
Speaking to the media after launching the website, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia said: “We will make the detailed XII Plan around this time next year. We are seeking public comments and decided to adopt a web-based approach...”
Asked if the web exercise would help people in fighting corruption, Mr. Ahluwalia sounded optimistic. “I am expecting people to give their views [on tackling inflation and corruption]. I find a lot of people have views on corruption. The issue of corruption becomes very relevant. We would like to see what they have to say,” he said.
