Daimler India arm augments solar capacity

Over a fourth of the day time power need of its plant is now met through solar power

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, has significantly increased its reliance on solar power at its Oragadam Plant, near here.

Over a fourth of the day time electricity requirement of the plant is now met through solar power. This is possible primarily due to major addition to the plant’s existing photovoltaic installations.
