Chamber sets up ‘Investment Cell’ to assist Investors in Kerala

In a follow up to the recently held two-day mega ‘Focus Kerala World Investors Meet’, the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry has set up an ‘Investment Cell’ to assist investors in establishing new units.

The cell would assist the investors in preparing project and feasibility reports and obtaining sanctions from various departments, chamber chairman K M Abdulla said at a function here on Monday.

N A Mohammedkutty, Managing Director, Falcon Group of Companies, will be the convener of the cell, Mr. Abdulla said.

About 411 investors have participated in the investors meet held on Jluy 24 and 25, which saw participation from 127 panchayats, he said. Investment proposals worth Rs 3,978.15 crore for 27 projects had been finalised and out of this 60 per cent project MoUs was signed at the venue, he said.

At the function here today, the remaining projects MoU were exchanged between the investors and panchayat officials.

The included a Rs 95 crore Heritage Village of Abbad Group at Kizhakkambalam and a Rs 400 crore Free Trade Ware Housing Zone of Falcon Group at Aluva, he said.
