IKF Technologies ties up with Wapmerr-India

To explore new avenues in GIS/MIS/Survey related services

IKF Technologies, an IT and IT-enabled services provider based in Kolkata, has announced that it had entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Wapmerr-India to execute projects globally.

The strategic partnership aims at exploring new horizons in the field of GIS/MIS/ Survey related services that aim to benefit public at large. IKF has operations in Delhi, Noida, Jaipur and Mumbai.

The companies will initially concentrate on India and then expand overseas.Mukesh Goyal, Director IKF Technologies, said that Wapmerr-India was one of the leaders in the development of innovative geo-information technologies using 3-D modelling and navigation systems and the company was confident that this partnership would help reduce the cost of doing business, besides providing better information for the public and decision-makers. He said that the tie-up would provide better tools in the hands of the government to deal with its problems relating to navigation along with the superior technology of creating 3D city models based on satellite images and aerial surveys with detailed representation of the city infrastructure with a high level of interactivity.

Iqbal Butt, authorised representative of Wapmerr-India, said that his company had developed a unique technology of creating 3-D city models based on satellite images and aerial surveys with detailed representation of the city infrastructure.

This technology provides a straight forward view of the urban environment, and can be used in the various fields of city and regional administration.
