Hyundai introduces i20 variants

Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday launched new version of its premium compact car i20, besides adding two variants Era and Sportz with petrol and diesel engines.

Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday launched new version of its premium compact car i20, besides adding two variants Era and Sportz with petrol and diesel engines.

With this, seven variants of i20 will now be available in the market, priced between Rs. 4.51 lakh and Rs. 7.48-lakh for petrol versions, while the costs of diesel variants will be announced shortly.

“The new variants of i20 are targeted at those who have different needs, while the new features will make the hatchback more desirable for our customers.

“The Era version has been introduced with both the petrol and diesel engines as the price leading variant, while the Sportz will bridge the price and feature gap between the Magna and Asta,” said Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO H. W. Park.

The new i20, that is BS-IV emission norms compliant, offers increased fuel economy across the entire range. As per the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), its petrol version (1.2 Kappa) is capable of delivering a mileage of 18.15 km a litre, while the diesel variant (1.4 CRDi) can deliver a mileage of 21.93 km a litre.
