BJP favours GST: Modi

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday said his party was in favour of bringing in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) but claimed it was the Central government that had not done the preparation required for its implementation.

“As far as BJP is concerned, we are in favour of the GST.

Nobody should have any doubts regarding it,” Mr Modi said addressing an event.

The Gujarat Chief Minister said the states had concerns related to their finances which the Centre should deal with sympathetically.
