Entries invited for The Hindu Prize 2016

Author must be an Indian citizen or an NRI; Overseas Citizen of India card holders not eligible; only original works in English will be eligible.

Entries are invited for The Hindu Prize 2016, instituted to recognise the best in Indian literary fiction. Publishers can submit Indian fiction in English released between July 2015 and June 2016.

Publishers can send three of their best titles for the award and the author must be an Indian citizen or a non-resident Indian holding an Indian passport or a domiciled resident of India. Those authors who hold the Overseas Citizen of India card are not eligible. Only original works in English will be eligible, and books of authors who are on the panel of the judges will not be considered.

Publishers must send eight hard copies of each book. Entries must be in prose and can be novels or collection of short stories by the same author. However, self-published or electronically published ones, children’s and young adult fiction will not be accepted. Books submitted for The Hindu Prize 2015 will not be accepted.
