‘Queen of Pop’ Madonna has won an undisclosed amount as damages for violation of privacy and copyright laws after a British tabloid published photographs of her wedding to film-maker Guy Ritchie.

A judge at London’s High Court ordered Associated Newspapers to hand the singer a substantial payout on Tuesday.

The newspaper published 11 snaps of their Scottish nuptials, around the time of their divorce last November.

Madonna has never released or sold any pictures of the ceremony at Skibo Castle, Scotland and so she accused the publication of breach of privacy and copyright infringement, seeking more than USD 7.3 million in damages.

The photographs had been reportedly copied by an interior designer working at the star’s Beverly Hills, California home.

The ‘Material Girl’ was not present at the settlement, and is expected to donate the awarded damages to her ‘Raising Malawi’ charity.
