Director Fazil is busy shooting his latest film ‘Living Together' inside a plush bungalow at Kunnam, Thodupuzha; veteran actor Nedumudi Venu faces the camera along with two new faces, Hemant and Sreelekha
“It is a musical, which has romance and horror in it,” says Fazil, who has made fantastic films such as ‘Manjil Virinja Pookkal,' ‘Ente Mamattikuttiyammaykku,' ‘Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu,' ‘Manivathoorile Aayiram Sivarathrikal,' ‘Manichithrathazhu' and ‘Aniyathipravu' in his heyday.

Hemanth and Sreelekha play the leads in ‘Living Together.' “Shyama (Sreelekha) is a free spirit. After the death of her father, she becomes attached to her grandfather (Nedumudi Venu). She becomes friendly with Hemachandran (Hemanth), a boy in the neighbourhood who falls in love with her.
“However, she moves away from the locality. Later, Hemanth discovers Shyama does love him. As she does not believe in marriage, he suggests they live together,” narrates Fazil as cinematographer Anandakkuttan goes in for a crane shot. The writer-director says he is still a romantic at heart and that is what leads him to such fresh and often unconventional themes. When asked about casting fresh faces in the lead, the director replies: “It does take extra time to mould new faces, but then the industry needs more actors.”
While Hemant is completely new to the camera, Sreelekha is not. She is a former TV anchor who has done a cameo in director Lal Jose's ‘Puramkazhchakal,' one of the films in the ‘Kerala Café' anthology. Yesteryear heroine Menaka makes a return to Mollywoood by playing the hero's mother in the film. Innocent, Bindu Panicker, Sreejith and Jinoop are also a part of the cast.
