The waste managers of Bengaluru
A 30-member group, with mostly women, has taken it upon themselves to keep the streets of Bengaluru clean. Hailing from the Shankarapura slum, they set out to clean up their neighbourhood, which includes the swanky Whitefield, in 2000 and are still striving for acknowledgement.
