Salwan Boys regains title

MUMBAI, APRIL 24. Salwan Boys High School, New Delhi, defeated DAV School by seven wickets on Saturday to regain the title in the Parle inter-city Champions Trophy.

The defending champion lost just three wickets while overhauling the Amritsar school's score of 235 in 45.3 overs, thanks to a rapid-fire 68 by `man of the match' Narendra Singh.

Salwan got Rs. 22,500 and three players picked up individual awards worth Rs. 30,000 each — Narendra (man of the match), Yogesh Nagar (batsman of series) and Salim Ansari (best wicket-keeper). DAV's Vipan Kumar was adjudged `best all-rounder' and Santhome HS' D.R. Anbuezhil was named `best fielder'.
