Ryeback, Havana catch the eye

MUMBAI: Ryeback, Havana and High Rising caught the eye when the horses were exercised here on Monday morning (Nov.21).

Outer sand:

600m: Thundering Star (S.Chinoy), Ruby Rosa (Baandal) 42. Pair level.

800m: Marquisa (T.Mahesh) 54, 600/39. Moved freely. Eternity (Bernard) 51, 600/38. Urged. Cine Star (Belose), Natural Vision (C.Rajendra) 53, 600/39.5. Former retains form. So Perfect (Ruzaan) 53.5, 600/40.5. Dance Diva (McCullagh), Rising Warrior (Riyaz Shaikh) 55, 600/40.5. They are 2-y-o's and moved freely.

1,000m: Boss Elements (Baandal), Snap Dragon (S.Chinoy) 1-9, 600/40. Former was superior. Both are 2-y-o's.

1,200m: Baryshnikhov (M.Reddy) 1-24, 600/45. Eased up in the straight. Barbados Skies (C.Rajendra), Clas (N.Jodha) 1-22, 1,000/1-6.5, 600/39. Former is in great heart. Note.

1,400m: Cabbala (Ruzaan) 1-43, 600/43. Easy. Amazing Power (McCullagh) 1-42.5, 600/45. Easy. Full Speed (Ruzaan) 1-39, 600/41.5. Shaped well. Ryeback (P.S.Chouhan), Unsung Hero (I.Shaikh) 1-32.5, 1,000/1-5.5, 600/40. Former started three lengths behind and easily finished three lengths ahead. Havana (P.S.Chouhan), Raudo (C.Rajendra) 1-33, 1,000/1-5, 600/39. Former moved very comfortably while the latter was pushed to finish level. High Rising (C.Rajendra) 1-32, 1,000/1-3, 600/38. Excellent display.

Inner sand:

800m: Hugo Boss (C.Rajendra) 56.5, 600/42. Did easy work.

1,200m: Hugo (C.Rajendra), Sizzler (Hamir) 1-23.5, 1,000/1-8, 600/40. Former finished four lengths in front.

Gate practice — outer sand:

1,000m: Attention Seeker (McCullagh), Le Chaim (S.Nayak) and Rave On (Shelar) 1-9.5, 600/43.5. They are 2-y-o's and jumped out well. Amanat (rb) 1-3, 600/39. Good. Lahinch (Kharadi), Bionic Angel (rb) 1-6, 600/39.5. Former is a 2-y-o and they moved level freely. Pioneering (Baria), Force Nine (C.Rajendra) 1-7, 600/40.5. Pair level. Divine Protocol (app), Celestrella (Ruzaan) 1-8.5, 800/53, 600/40. Latter is a good type of 2-y-o. Druids Glen (Nilesh), Portrush (Kharadi) 1-6.5, 600/40.5. Both are 2-y-o's and jumped out well.

Jockeys suspended:

Vikram Jodha, who rode Ettan, in the Autumn Blue Plate (Div.I) on Nov. 20 was suspended by the Stewards from Dec. 9 to 22, for careless riding and tendering misleading evidence during the enquiry. P.Sandeep, who rode Starmaniac, in the same race was also suspended from Dec. 1 to 8, by the Stewards for tendering misleading evidence during the enquiry.

K.M.Pandey, rider of Exult, in the Sparkling Cyanide Plate (Div.II) run at Pune on Oct. 15, was suspended from Dec. 1 to Jan.1, 2006, for incompetent riding of his mount.
