Rubin-Manisha duo for Indian Open

HYDERABAD JAN. 28. World No. 13 Chanda Rubin will partner India No. 1 Manisha Malhotra in the doubles event of the WTA Indian Open tennis tournament to be held at the SAAP courts here from February 3. The pair has been given a wild card entry according to a statement released by Globosport, the organisers of the tournament.

Rubin has won a total of ten WTA doubles titles, including the Australian Open in 1996 with Arantxa Sanchez Vicario.

Manisha Malhotra won silver in the Asian Games in the mixed doubles with Mahesh Bhupathi as her partner.

Rubin, in addition to being a leading world level player, also devotes a lot of her time and effort to charitable work and is known for her philanthropic and humanitarian activities to help disadvantaged persons at various levels according to the statement.
