Inzamam powers Pakistan to victory

Multan Sept. 6. Pakistan's Inzamam-ul-Haq made a determined unbeaten 138 as Pakistan completed a 3-0 whitewash of Bangladesh with a thrilling one-wicket win on the fourth day of the third and final Test on Saturday.

Inzamam, a 33-year-old veteran of 88 Tests, made the 18th century of his career in front of a hometown crowd at the Multan Cricket Stadium as Pakistan made 262 for nine to beat Bangladesh shortly after lunch.

Inzamam brought up the victory with the 20th boundary of his innings off Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud with Pakistan requiring three for victory with just one wicket remaining.

The No. 11 batsman Yasir Ali survived a loud caught behind appeal off Mahmud before taking a single and allowing Inzamam to finish the match.
