Indian team for World Youth championship

NEW DELHI NOV. 13 Grandmaster P. Hari Krishna and the reigning women's National `B' champion Dronavalli Harika will spearhead the Indian challenge in the boys and girls sections of the World Youth chess championship to be held at Heroklio, in the northern coast of Creta, in Greece, from Nov. 15 to 24.

In all, 27 Indian participants, including five seeded players and 10 official entrants, will take part in this 11-round age-group competition to be held five categories for boys and girls.

The team :

Seeded players : Boys : Parimarjan Negi (under-10), K. Nikhilesh Kumar (under-14) and P. Hari Krishna (under-18). Girls : P. Lakshmi Sahiti (under-10) and Dronavalli Harika (under-12).

Official entries : Boys : Y. Sandeep (under-10), Subodh Lakhey (under-12), G. Rohith (under-14), Somak Palit (under-16) and S. Poobesh Anand (under-18). Girls : M. Manogna (under-10), Ramya Krishna (under-12), Saheli Nath (under-14), Amruta Mokal (under-16) and P. Priya (under-18).

Donor entries : Boys : C. R. G. Krishna, Aswin Jayaram, Sankalp Modwal (all under-12), Deep Sengupta, Haren Pandya (both under-14) and Deepan Chakkravarthy (under-16). Girls : G. Madanasri, P. Prachura (under-10), Kajari Choksi (under-12), Kruttika Nadig (under-14), Tania Sachdev and Eesha Karavade (under-16).
