Indian Bank bags honours

CHENNAI, FEB. 26. Twenty-nine-year-old P. Kannan and 17-year-old K. Revathi of Indian Bank claimed the men's and women's individual titles in the IBA-BSB inter-bank (Southern Region) athletic meet, which concluded at the Nehru Stadium on Thursday. Indian Bank emerged champions in the men's and women's sections tallying 95 and 57 points respectively.

A trainee at the Athens Athletic Club, Kannan won six gold and two silver medals while Revathi, a trainee of St. Joseph's College of Engineering Prime Sports Academy and a first year student of MOP Vaishnav College, clinched four golds and one silver medal. M.B. N. Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Bank, gave away the prizes.
