HYDERABAD: : Favourites India recorded it's third straight win defeating Koreans 44-31 in Pool A to move into the semifinala of the inaugural Asian women's kabaddi championship at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.

The home team was aggressive particularly in the first half with Sumathi in the forefront and she got good support K. Swetha and Pooja complementing her with equal felicity.

The fact that India recorded 20 `outs' in all, besides scoring two lonas and four bonus points was a fair indication of its dominance. The Indian girls held on to the comfortable lead to emerge winner. The Koreans were knocked out of the event.

In another Pool A league match, Bangladesh scored a hard-fought 45-40 win against Thailand to make it to the semifinals.

Later, Sri Lanka and Japan also qualified for semifinals.
