Harika, Saheli in joint lead

NEW DELHI OCT. 5. Harika Dronavalli of Andhra Pradesh and Saheli Nath of West Bengal were in the lead with 4.5 points after five rounds in the NDMC 17th National junior girls chess championship at the Bapu Samaj Seva Kendra here on Saturday.

Saheli Nath overpowered P. Priya of Tamil Nadu in the Sicilian Defence, with a strong middle game, forcing the latter to resign after 49 moves.

Harika, on the other hand, easily overcame Nabeela Farheen of Tamil Nadu in 43 moves.
