DTC moves past DDA

DTC moves past DDA

NEW DELHI: S. S. Negi and Michael Raj scored a goal each in either halves and steered Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to a 2-0 win against a depleted Delhi Development Authority (DDA), in a Division `A' match in the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) annual institutional league football championship here on Saturday.

The DDA took the field with just eight players and clearly lacked the morale to resist the onslaughts of DTC. Negi provided the breakthrough in the 16th minute when he volleyed from top of the box.

In another match, Airport Authority of India defeated Reserve Bank of India 2-0 with Shiva (20th) and Kuldeep Ekka (29th) netting the ball.

In the senior division matches, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences beat holders Zakir Hussain College 1-0; Delhi Audit thrashed Punjab National Bank 8-0.
