St. Joseph's College of Engg. bags title

CHENNAI: St. Joseph's College of Engineering won the men's overall championship with 64 points in the Jets 2010 sports festival, which concluded at the college campus on Monday. The college had won the women's title earlier.

Sathyabama University with 30 points was placed second. At the valedictory function, C.M. Ranjith, India junior coach was the chief guest.

College tournaments

The B.S. Abdur Rahman University is organising a state-level ‘Founder's Trophy football' tournament for men, Prof. S. Peer Mohamed memorial basketball tournament (men) and a silver jubilee trophy ball badminton tournament (men and women) from March 17 to 20 at the college campus at Vandalur. The events are for deemed universities and engineering colleges and in all 14 teams are taking part in football, 13 in basketball and six in ball badminton.
