It’s Sagar v Rohan

BANGALORE: Top seed Sagar Manjunath demolished Venkatesh Krishnan 6-2, 6-2 and enter the boys’ under-16 singles of the AITA Talent Series junior tennis championship here on Thursday.

Packing a solid punch on his forehand, Sagar brooked little resistance from his Tamil Nadu rival. He takes on the eighth seed Rohan Gaonkar who stopped qualifier R. Avinash 6-3, 7-6(8) in the other semifinal.

S.P. Ritu, who has been in good form, made her third final of the season cruising past Jane Jacob 6-1, 6-1 to set up a title clash with Preethi Gokhale in the girls’ under-12 category.

In the girls’ under-16 section, the top-seeded Tarani Chandramouli meets Kavya N. Kumar.
