Indian karate team

CHENNAI: India is sending a 21-member team, including seven girls for the fifth cadets and junior world karate championship to be held in Istanbul from October 18 to 21. Around 100 countries are taking part in this championship.

The chairman of the all-India Karate-Do Federation, Karate R. Thiagarajan is the chef-de-mission and P.R. Ramesh is the chief delegate.

The team: L. Sanjeev Singh (Manipur), G. Sabari Karthik, S. Janarthan Raj (both Tamil Nadu), Dhruv Grover (Delhi).
