New Delhi: A fine bowling performance from India ‘A’ helped it wrap up host Kenya’s first innings total to a modest 218 at Mombasa on Friday.
Irfan Pathan picked three wickets for 57 runs with Pankaj Singh (three for 35) and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha (three for 54) also coming good.
But Kenya came back to check Indians’ progress by reducing them to 30 for two at close, removing captain Mohammad Kaif and Niraj Patel.
Parthiv Patel, who was dropped on nought by Ondongo on the fine-leg boundary, was batting on 19, along with Irfan Pathan (4).
The scores:
Kenya: 218 (Thomas Odoyo 51). India ‘A’: 30 for two (Irfan Pathan three for 57, Pankaj Singh three for 35, Pragyan Ojha three for 54). — PTI
