Avtar cracks century

Centuries by Avtar Singh (118 not out) for Khalsa and M. Radhakrishna (101 not out) for SA Amberpet were the highlights of the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship here on Thursday.

Swaminarayan posts win

Swaminarayan Gurukul ‘B' scored an easy 48-34 win over Cal Public School in the inaugural match of the CCOB Cup inter-schools basketball tournament at City College here.

Easy for EME

EME Centre recorded an easy 4-0 win over City College Old Boys in the Rahim Centenary football league championship at the Gymkhana grounds. Striker V.S. Rawal put EME ahead in the ninth minute of a pass from Sushil Kumar. In the 40th minute, substitute Ganesh converted a ‘spot kick' awarded by referee. In the second session, Prajith and Vikas scored for the winner.
