NEW DELHI: Anju George finished third in the long jump event of the Bayer international athletics meet at Leverkusen, Germany, on Friday, according to a release from the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
Anju jumped 6.51m on her third attempt to take the third place behind Portuguese Naide Gomes (6.83m) and German Bianca Kapler (6.73m). Anju also had two jumps of 6.48 and one of 6.39 apart from two fouls.
