Corrections and Clarifications

The strapline and text of the report "`Government looking at changes in developing advanced defence products'" (November 15, 2006) had references to "Defence & Research Development Organisation". A reader points out that the expansion of DRDO is Defence Research & Development Organisation.

Referring to the report "BJP panel to finalise candidates" (November 15, 2006), a reader says that a sentence in the last paragraph "The Chamundeshwari Assembly seat, Karnataka, fell vacant after Siddaramaiah quit the party and joined the Congress" is misleading. The reference to the "party" here is to the JD (S), and not the BJP.

A reader from Damanjodi points out that Delhi Public School (Damanjodi) is in Koraput district, Orissa, and not Visakhapatnam, as was published in "Chennai team tops in `Young World' quiz contest" ("Newscape" page, November 15, 2006).
