Corrections and Clarifications

  • “Benazir may have been shot dead” (Page 1, January 7, 2008) had a sub-heading, “Need for U.S. probe,” while the text referred to a U.N. probe. The mistake was corrected in a part of the later editions.

  • The first paragraph of a report “Greet Bush with bombs: Al-Qaeda” (International, January 8, 2008) had an editing error: the destination of U.S. President George Bush’s tour next week. He is to visit West Asia (Middle-East in the original AFP report).

It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible. Please specify the edition (place of publication), date and page.
