Vishnoi back in Cabinet

JAIPUR JAN. 25 . The former Rajasthan Minister for the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Ram Singh Vishnoi, today made a comeback to the State Cabinet. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, Anshuman Singh, at the Raj Bhavan.

The Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, his Cabinet colleagues, former Chief Ministers and the PCC(I) president, Girija Vyas, were among those present. The newly-announced Deputy Chief Ministers, Kamla and Banwarilal Bairwa, who did not need to take any oath for the post as they are already Cabinet Ministers. Among those present on the occasion were the three former Chief Ministers, Shiv Charan Mathur, Jagannath Pahadia and Heeralal Devpura. The first two are members of the Coordination Committee announced by the party high command the other day.

Mr. Vishnoi from Jodhpur, who had quit the Cabinet on April 25 last year, following allegations that his son was making illegal drugs, was re-inducted into the Cabinet after he was cleared of the charges.

On the creation of two posts of Deputy Chief Ministers for the first time in the State, Mr. Gehlot said he did not do it under compulsion.
